This is a really beautiful and detailed memory ware pedestal. It is covered with a particularly rich variety of shards from very fine china, as well as doll heads, baby figurines, patterned glass, a china frog and rooster's head, a lady's watch, and a doll's cup and pitcher. The spaces between the shards are painted in an old, dark, oxidized gold. In the center top is a heavy hammered copper ashtray that is not attached. It lifts off to reveal a round open space. While probably not original to the stand, this is how we found it, so we are offering it as is.
There is a fair amount of loss around the lower edges of the top, with a lesser amount on the edges of the base. This is not at all obvious or intrusive to us, we had to look closely to see some of it. Take a look at the many closeup images to see the great detail for yourself, and if you have any questions, give us a call. This wonderful stand was made in the early 1900's. Some of the decoration appears to be much older. It measures 28" high by about 9" by 9". The price is $775.00. Inventory Code: THHA.

These are two crate separators which make super little tables or stands. One is unpainted and weathered an old natural grayish brown, while the other is painted a wonderful old blue. There is a mark on one as being made by a box company in Paris, Texas. Each one is in very good, used condition. They are old and are about 18" high, with the top being 11 1/2" by 12 1/2". There is a little flex in them, but they are sturdy and do not fold up. The price is $225.00 for the pair. Inventory Code: AWRS. Blue stand ... One side ... Another side ... Gray stand ... This is a carved stand covered with snakes, frogs, and salamanders. It is made from diamond willow, with a soapstone base. The natural contours and ridges of the diamond willow have been carved into the animals, all very finely detailed with set in eyes and lines, spots, etc. They have beads for eyes. The match or candle holder (?) on top commemorates a river boat. It is incised with the words "F. Reichter, Square Bow, Flat Bottom, 1859 Minnesota River" and is supported by a small brass hose nozzle. The silver radiator paint is probably an older repaint from about the 1940's or 50's. The snakes, etc. all have a very good, older surface that is dark, patinated lacquer or varnish with fine crazing. We estimate the age at the early 1900's to 1920's, but it could be older. The stand is 44" tall, the base is 9 1/2" in diameter, and the condition is excellent. One bead eye is missing, there is one old, probably original break near the base, and a chip, also probably original, in the bottom of the stone. It is really a wonderful decorative piece. The price is $1150.00. Inventory Code: PHTS.

This is an exceptionally nice, old, metal plant stand, with a sort of deco look. It has an inner section with a flat metal spiral which both supports and creates a sense of motion. The stand is 39" high with the center tube 4" in diameter. The 5 arms which hold the plants can both swing and be moved to various levels. If fully extended, they could be as much as 2 feet apart. This was originally painted white which has taken on a wonderful alligatored and knobbled surface over the years. The shelf is sturdy and has more detailed elements (like mortised supports) than found in many home-constructed pieces. The size is about 20 1/2" high by 10" wide by 5 1/4" deep. Each of the shelves has a little lip on the front to contain objects. This can also be turned over to sit on a table or shelf. It was probably made in the early 1900's and is in very good condition. This is a folk art table hand made from stainless steel industrial conveyor belt. Each of the links was welded one by one so they would not move. The belts were found in a metal scrap yard and originally came from a candy manufacturing plant in Louisiana. On the bottom of the links is impressed the name Tabletop and the code SS815. It has been strengthened by the addition of four triangular stainless steel plates welded into the legs. The table is rigid and does not flex, but it will rock slightly from side to side under pressure. It is a sturdy and functional piece of art. The table was made within the last few years and is in very good condition. It is 29" high by 19 1/2" wide by 18" deep. Each link is approximately 4 1/2" wide by 1 1/2" high. The price is $750.00.
